About Sofi

Sofi Jaquez is a trained Soprano born and raised in the bay area of California. Having started music classes and training at a young age she decided to expand her skills by being involved in her schools choir and vocal ensembles. She was inducted into The Music Honors Society and through that group started a free music lesson program at a underserved community center in  San Jose, Ca. It was there where she discovered a love of teaching which encouraged her to continue teaching even through the Pandemic. She now currently Studies at the Mount Saint Mary's University Music Program Music Education while continuing with performing and training in Opera. She is also involved with LA Opera as a College Advisory Committee member and involved in their Community Theatre Program.
